CURATING MALTA’S CULTURAL LEGACY

 

The Curatorial Department at Heritage Malta is the guardian of Malta’s rich cultural history.

Our curators manage, research, interpret, and present the nation’s sites, artefacts, and stories and narratives in a way that empowers the public to find meaning in its past.

Through carefully crafted exhibitions, interpretive content, narratives, and in-depth knowledge of our collections, we bring Malta’s history to life, making it accessible to all visitors, whether they’re seeing it for the first time, rediscovering it through fresh perspectives, or exploring it further as part of an academic or personal journey.

Close collaboration with other departments within the agency, and with local and international stakeholders, enriches our work, enabling a cross-disciplinary approach to interpreting and communicating cultural values.
